To show you, that sometimes, I do makeup. I hate being uninspired. It's so frustrating and annoying. I can't take it. I'm pretty sure my head will explode soon. I'm doing a fashion show next month, and maybe a photoshoot soon. Here's a picture of me, to show that sometimes I still wear makeup, and 3 from a recent photoshoot, where I did hair and makeup. It was all pretty natural.

Ew. So I'm feeling a bit under the weather. Not too bad but the change in weather is definitely getting to me...and it's blowing in all sorts of stuff that have my allergies getting the best of me. Just to refresh everyone's memory, I asked my judges to judge each look individually. There was a possibility of getting 100 points (between both looks). Here was the rating criteria.

Tutorial

Well hello there. I'm at work right now...spoooooky!! Not really. It's a scheduled post. First of all, happy first day of FALL! YES! FINALLY! Stupid Summer is OVER. Anyway, I hope I'm having a good day at work. Is that weird? To be wishing myself a good day? Whatever.

Anyway, I did a quick tutorial yesterday for this look:

Remember this look? Phyrra, kind of off-handedly, "requested" a tutorial for it.

Well, when I did it for my tutorial, it didn't turn out as good, but ya know..you get the general idea of what I was doin.

This is what you be's needin'.

I marked out those two because I didn't use them. Really, I didn't need em, but I grabbed em just in case.

You'll just need a highlight shadow, crease color shadow (I went with black), and an eyeliner. I had to use my liquid because that cream is all dry and icky. D': I need a new one. Anyway, and you just need 2 or 3 brushes. I just have an eyeshadow brush, angled brush and a flat brush.

First, of course, clean eye...then prime it.

Ew eyebrows. Sorry it's dark. I was sitting in a weird spot...blah.

Highlight all over.

Kind of dramatic eyeliner of choice, bringing it down below your eyes.

GODDAMN ME. I suck at taking clear pictures. ANYWAY, with your angled brush, and/or flat brush...I used both, get the eyeshadow and connect it to the top of the eyeliner and bring it in on the crease. And it'll be easy, because you've already put your highlight all over.

With your eyeshadow, you're basically going to take it from the very tip of the eyeliner (or the cat eye), and the end of your eye, make it into a triangle and blend into your crease. Ya see?

Finish up, with mascara and eyeliner to your waterline..and filling in your eyebrow, etc. I didn't because I only did one eye and then took it off. :D

High Voltage Haul and Swatches.

Yup. I took advantage of the sale at High Voltage. And I plan to take advantage of it one more time.

Anyway, I ordered 15 eyeshadows, 7 lippies, Eyeshadow Base in Medium, Cream Eyeshadow in Back in Black, Magic Dust, Eyebrow Powder in Brunette, Blush in Hookin' Up and Dirty Secret.

Looky! Jasmine took what I said in my review very seriously and made her packages more personal. :) It was wrapped WAAAY better, and nice and safe! My co-worker and I had just tooorn into it at work..so this is what it looked like when I got home..tehe. She had orginally changed the stickers, after I commented saying they rubbed off. Which seemed to cause a fuss, oops. That wasn't my intention. I like the foil stickers, I didn't like the fact that the writing disappeared on me. She changed back to the foil stickers, BUT knew how to fix em so they would stay. Yay. Everyone is happy. Rar.

I'll have to do a follow up review sometime.

Lippies!!

I got ahold of some candies before she discontinued them. Which I'm really sad about, but she wanted to make a switch to Vegan products. Since the Lip Gunks, which are now called Lip Whip, weren't available..and I don't mind pots..:) She said she'd make some candies if I wanted...or the other whipped lipstick type formula I love, but isn't available to the public yet. She's so sweet!

So I got 3 candies and 4 whipped lipstick things...ya know. :D Which I THINK were going to be called Lip Whips, but no..? I don't know. I'm just making assumptions. And you know what happens when you assume! You make and ass outta u AND me!

Anywhooooo...swatches. :)

Sorry they're sooo messy. I just applied them with my finger. By the way, I only apply one layer of color.

Top is without flash, and just for giggles, bottom is with flash. :)

Ripped Fishnet, Party Crasher and Inferno were all part of the lip candies. I'm not sure if she's going to bring those colors back into whips or the other formula or not. We'll see. :D

So poop. sorry. I was supposed to have stuff on Monday for y'all, and I didnt. :( I've been in pain all day..wth! I woke up way too late. Sleeping too much is so icky. Then, I was walking outside to do laudry, and I twisted my ankle! :( My foot/ankle hurt soo bad..and my other foot always hurts, so imagine 2 hurt feet! Booger. I did do some swatches, but when I went to put them on my computer, it wasnt working. I guess maybe my cat hit the usb/wire/tevs. Blaaaaah. I gave up. :( I'll try tomorrow.

Hey folks. I'm posting from work. I have a few things I need to update, swatches, hauls, random babbling and what-not. I wont be able to post until Monday, though. I want some natural light for my swatch pictures.

To be a MAC Pro, or not to be?

However, I've been thinking lately...MAC has pro classes..and I can take them if I'm a member. I might not like MAC, but classes are classes. Ya dig?

This is a conversation I have a lot.

Person: How long have you been doing makeup?
Me: Oh, for about 5 years now. I've only been doing it professionally for about a year, though.
Person: How'd you learn to do makeup? Did you take classes?
Me: No, I've never taken any classes. I'm self-taught. :)
Person: Ohh, you mean like you watch youtube videos?
Me: ....No.

NO. NO. NO. I hardly ever watch youtube makeup "gurus". The only one that I've really watched a lot of videos from is Petrilude...and it was only ones that were for Halloween looks. Nothing against the folks that make makeup videos, it's just not my thing. So nobody needs to get their panties in a bunch.

I'm just sooo damn sick of people assuming that I learned from youtube. Then when I say "no, I never really watch those videos". They DON'T BELIEVE ME. Wtf! They give me a look like 'yeaaaah, right.' "Well how'd you learn then?" Well, goddammit, I researched, read, I'm part of forums, makeup communities, there are books, and articles...all sorts of crap! I examine pictures, professional and non-professional, look up products..gosh, everything. I'd say about 0.5% of stuff I've learned about makeup is from youtube. That's pretty low. Not that you can't learn from youtube, but honestly it's not my thing. I get bored of watching youtube videos. I was actually watching a video last night of a professional makeup artist doing a model's makeup. I learned something from that, because it's something that pertains to what I do.

So, who do I get mad at? Youtube? Gurus? The people asking?

Well, of course, I can't get mad at anyone. It isn't anyones fault. It's just something that really annoys me, because 1, they're assuming, and 2, they don't believe me.

I promise you, people, youtube is not the only way to learn. It's not even the best way.

Just sayin'.

Yuuuppp, a Kat Von D palette in Metal Orchestra. I've never really been too interested in getting anything from Kat Von D's line. But..well, her palettes are on sale for $24 (instead of $34)...and this one really caught my eye. I guess I hadn't noticed it before.

I had some swatches, but I didn't get good pictures.

Fun, huh? I still don't want anything else from her line, lol. Maybe I'll do a review on the palette.

The lippies are not only opaque and awesome, but they're incredibly long lasting!! I used Heart of Glass on a model, and she commented on how it didn't budge throughout her eating, and licking her lips all day!

Review - High Voltage Cosmetics

First of all, I apologize for not getting this review up on Friday. I ended up going out with my friends on Friday night for some much needed friend time. Then I was like "oh, I'll just do it Saturday", but I was out all day with my dad. Then Sunday I worked, and was just exhausted. Now today is Monday, and it's my day off...and stuff.....onwards!

High Voltage Cosmetics

I had heard of High Voltage Cosmetics (HV from now on), a while back. A few bloggers I follow have done swatches/reviews. One day I started following her on Twitter, and then eventually it turned into an order. And another, and another. I absolutely love Jasmine, she's such a sweetheart, and so helpful. She's always asking people's input, and trying to improve. I hope this review helps Jasmine out, AND makes you order. :D

So what is it? An indie cosmetics company. She offers loose (and pressed -not sure if available yet) eyeshadows, base, eyeliner, eyebrow powders, blush, magic dust, solid scents, and lip candies/gunks.

How much is it? Most full sizes are $5.50 (USD) and under. Just about. :) I don't think there's anything over...what? $7?

-Site Design, Ordering, Price

I'm almost sure she has a webmaster. As in, she doesn't do it herself. Which is obviously fine, lol. Anyway, the site design is ok. When I first started going there, it used to give me a screen about some "malicious" stuff from my anti-virus. I remember when I'd first try to go there, I'd get scared and never go back. It made it seem as if the site was going to give me the blue screen of death. It doesn't give that to me anymore, though..maybe because I was going so much? Anyway, I'm really not sure how I feel about the site. I mean, it's fine, but I do wish it was updated more/properly. As in, when there's a link to Lip Gunks on the front page, I wish the link would be there on all the pages. Ya feel me? I know it's a pain to go through every. single. page. and edit the html. Trust me, I've had to do it. Anyway, the products have pictures of the product itself, and swatches (if you click on em). The lip gunks have lip swatches, and the lip candies have just dots of what the color kind of looks like. Which actually really bugs me. I wish she would do swatches of those colors/take actual pictures of the product. :(

Now ordering is done through Paypal. Which some people like, others don't. Personally, I'm indifferent. As long as I can make an order, and your cart doesn't fail on me and/or delete my stuff, I'll be good.

The prices are really good. She also does some awesome sales. Some of her loose shadows are $3.50! Pressed ones are (will be?) $5.25. Not too shabby. :)

- Customer Service/Shipping

Her customer service is excellent, it really is. I haven't had any problems.

The packages are sent quickly, which is good, because I get excited getting things in the mail. :) However, the only thing is that I wish she'd send her packages with a more personal touch. My first packages had a hand-written thank you, though. Maybe some fun tissue paper? Bubble wrap? A business card? Just so it feels a little more personal. At least, that's what I like to see when I open packages. Things wrapped pretty, and stuffs. I know that's one of the wonderful things about indie companies. I tried to find other reviews to see how people got their packages, but nothing mentioned the packaging. Which probably makes it safe to assume that they got their packages like I got mine, right? Usually, if the way things are packed is fun, it gets mentioned. Just thought I'd throw that in, because I know people enjoy personal touches.

- Packaging

The loose eyeshadows come in jars with a sticker on top and bottom. The top has the logo, bottom the color/ingredients. The lippies come in either jars (you can ask) or tubes with a doe-foot applicator. They also come with a sticker with the name of the product, color, ingredients. I, personally, don't like those stickers. The stickers are those metallicy ones, and everything rubs off. So you kind of have to memorize the name, just in case they do come off. The samples come with a paper sticker. The stickers are really pretty, I just wish things wouldn't rub off. :(

The packaging itself is good, but those stickers are a bit "rar".

- Products

I've only tried her loose shadows and her lippies. I'm going to do individual color breakdowns in later reviews, so now it's just swatches and product breakdowns. :D

- Loose Shadows

The loose shadows are wonderful. They blend so effortlessly, and they really are long-lasting. Some eyeshadows, even with primers tend to crease, or fade in the crease on me, but not these bad boys. They stay perfect throughout my day. I only have 12 of the shadows, out of the...lots and lots she has, but I have some lovely ones in there. :D There are soooo many that I want to try. I also want to get a full size of some of my samples. You know how sometimes you feel like you aren't missing out by not having certain colors? Well, I feel like I AM missing out. D:

- Lippies

You see these? Do you see them? Do you? I love, loooove, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE HVC lippies. And I keep saying lippies, because she has lip gunks, lip candies, and another forumla that's like..whipped lipstick (which is the duo-chrome one). All of those are one coat, with the exception of the dark blue in the corner, and maybe the black? I can't remember. The top two are the lip candies.

Lip candies are "between a lipstick and a gloss". They're opaque, and more like a cream, and I love them. Love, love, love the forumla. Seriously. It's kind of like a lipstick, except epic and creamy. Like, really, really creamy.

Lip gunks are a big thicker, and more like a thick gloss. They're opaque, and they dry nice and smooth.

This other forumla..which I'm going to call whipped lipstick, because that's what it reminds me of, is between the cream and the gunk. It really is. It's soooo soft and creamy. Softer, and thcker than the lip gunk and creamier, and softer than the candies..because the candies are..for lack of a better word, stiff, and the gunks aren't as super creamy. This whipped lipstick-like forumla is also opaque and I love this one as well.

I don't know how, but she just has the lips dooown. That's why I've kind of overlooked the shadows, because I head straight for the lippies. And so should you.

Final Bits

I really do love the products [I've tried] at High Voltage. I haven't been disappointed yet. There's lots more I want to try, though.

So, would I buy from again? YES. I have. Many, many times.

Two-Faced Tuesday - Leopard Print Bow

So, I saw someone made a bow like the one of the Sugarpill packaging. I decided that I wanted to be a copy cat and make a bow kind of like that. So I made a big bow for myself. It's a little over 5 inches, made of duct tape, and it's a barrette (Heather!). :D It's a little heavy, but my hair is pretty thick.

Fun stuff. Now I'ma get ready for work. :D

Should I do a product breakdown, or product AND color breakdown? ORRRR..should I just do a product breakdown and then do colors in later reviews? I'm leaning toward the latter, because I feel like doing a product and color breakdown in one review is going to be too much. Just me? Let me know what y'all think.

Shampoo and Conditioner?

Ugggh, so I'm wanting to switch shampoo. I use Dove right now, and it's fine but I'm over it. I feel like I should be using a shampoo from work, but uugggh nothing appeals to me. I was thinking of trying Miracle 7, but I dunno. I really want to get something from Etsy. Does anyone by Shampoo/Conditioner from Etsy.

I've never been picky about shampoo, I just need something to protect my color, and help out my hair. And for every once in a while a clarifying one (tea tree oil, usually).

Just wondering if anyone buys from Etsy, or knows of good ones from Etsy.

Since it's officially Saturday, and I left Saturday open for whatever, I have a question(s).

So, popular bloggers/youtubers seem to get guff for getting sent free stuff. That's how it is, that's how it will be. It's the way companies get the word out. Besides, it's their product and they can do what they like. It does bother some people, though. I do realize that some people get upset because it seems like they only have good reviews for free products, blah blah blaaaah. For me, when someone does review a free product, I don't really believe them unless it seems very genuine. I don't mind that companies send out free products to review, but you can usually tell when a review is genuine or not.

However, I think it's a different story when people go asking companies to send them things. I feel like that's a little rude. If I made makeup and sold it, I'd feel so icky about people asking me something like that. Popular or not. I'd never want to put anyone in that position, because I wouldn't wanna be in that position.

So my question(s) are...how do you feel about companies giving away free things to popular bloggers/youtubers? How do you feel about people asking for free products to review? Would you/have you ask(ed) for free products to review?

Work updates and Rebel Wednesday

So, quickly before I head off to bed, I'd like to update y'all on the situation at work. If you remember, one of my coworkers transferred to another store. Well, Tuesday night another one of my coworkers got into a car accident. She's ok, but she broke her ankle in 3 places, and had to have surgery on it Wednesday morning. She'll be out for 6 months. So, that leaves 3 of us at the store. Which means...well ya know what? I don't have any idea what it means. We'll have to talk about it today (Thursday). Not only are we short 2 people, we might (almost definitely) have to keep the store open longer in the next few weeks.

I have noooo idea what's gonna go down, but yikes. If I'm gone for a while, it's because I'm hella exhausted.

Anyway, on to Rebel Wednesday. Rebel Wednesday is going to be a feature day, like I mentioned before. So if y'all could send me links of ANYONE that you think I should feature, please do so! It can be a fellow blogger, youtuber, etsy seller, artist, etc. I'd really like to get this going, since I haven't been able to yet. Thanks! <3

Tricky Monday - Smoke

I updated 9 times in the entire month of July. Awful. Awful. Just awful.

My goal in August is to update more. July was just pathetic.

I'll hopefully have a review to post on Friday, which is my next day off. I'm not sure if I'm going to do it yet, but I'd like to. I have most of it written up. :)

OMG, what's this?? I have some smokey eye tips for y'all!

When I first tried doing smokey eyes, I was so horrible. Tutorials for them really sucked. D: I was always like "I DON'T GET IITTTT!!!!" Which seems silly, but they can be difficult. So here are a few quick tips to doing an awesome one full of awesomeness.

- Use CLEAN brushes. You should be cleaning your brushes regularly anyway, but when doing a smokey eye..it can quickly turn from smoke to MUD. You don't want a muddy eye when you're trying to do a smokey eye. Amirite?

- Do your highlight color first. It makes it easier to blend your lid color up into the highlight, than to blend it up into nothing.

- If you're trying to do a really dark smokey eye (I don't play around when I do mine, I like them dark), use a black base (or a black liner) all over your lid and blend it up.

- Smokey eyes can make your eyes look small. So to balance it out, you could use a white color in your inner corners, and/or put white on your waterline.

- I put my foundation on after I've finished (or just about finished) doing my eye makeup. Smokey or not. It's sooo much easier to wipe off the fallout with a wipe when you're not worried about messing up already done makeup. Sure, you could use a tissue, or translucent powder..but..why? Just wait to do your foundation. :) Or don't, ya know, whatever works for you.

- Everyone will tell you to either pick, eyes or lips, that you want dramatic. "Can't do both at the same time". I usually wear lipgloss with a smokey eye. No concealer lips for me. I think that looks silly (on me, at least). But you know what? I think red lips looks absolutely amazing with a smokey eye. Of course, if you do that, a way to balance it out is to also go a little dramatic on the cheeks. Not drag-queen dramatic, mind you. But I think it's a great "evening" look. Or whatever you want to call it. I personally don't give a damn what time of day it is. I do what I want! Seriously, though, to go to a club/bar/concert/out with friends/tevs. The dramatic FACE (I guess face?) is beautiful. ..Ya know, when ya do it right. Kat Von D is actually a great example of this. Some guys and gals can rock the smokey eye with red lips and darker blush anytime of the day. Me? ;) HAH.

- By the way, a smokey eye doesn't have to be just black. Add some color. It makes it that much more fun. :D

I have sooo much to update about, I wish I had time!! UGHHH. I'm over it. lol.

Some quick updates, maybe I'll be able to do an update later tonight...maybe. Ugh, probably not. The next day I have off is Wednesday and I'm already doing stuff that day. Then Saturday but I have plans. MAKE ME UPDATE.

Ok, so seriously, some quick updates. I'm making the last of my purchases for the contest. I'm going to have to extend it again because I can't find any time to do what I need to do for it. Just until the end of August, and that's it. No more extending. lol..so I say. For real, though. No more. I'll make an updated contest entry, and either have everyone that send me an entry comment again or I'll just..do something. I don't know. I should get most everything by the end of this week. AHHHHH. Then I'll make some videos and yeah. Ok.

I haven't been doing my makeup exciting lately because I keep forgetting to wash my brushes. I'm washing them now, though. So I was just using sponges and liquid eyeliner, hah.

I do have so much exciting stuff to update about, though! AHH!!!

Ok..I'm updating from my phone. I've been soooo busy, I haven't even sat at the computer since I updated last. I ended up having a 5 day work week..which is normal for everyone but not me. But my dad took Wednesday and Thursday off since I had those days off and we had an awesome "weekend". it was so fun, and I had a great birthday. Thanks for the birthday wishes! So last..umm..Friday? I had a photoshoot. That's the last time I really wore exciting makeup. Hah.

I wish I could remember exactly what I used...I know it was High Voltage. I think Linger, Sour Girl and Champagne Supernova on the eyes. Then on the lips I lined/filled them in with a nude liner and then put High Voltage Big Break over.

So anyway..ugh. I'm sorry I haven't been around. I've been working/outta town. I'm working all weekend, so..yeah. D:

I was so diggin' Heart of Glass, I wanted to order more lippies. So I did. I ordered Fire Women Lip Candy, and Jasmine, being the awesome woman she is, sent me a Lip Gunk AND a lip...well, I don't know what she's calling them yet! It's a new formula she's trying and I'm the FIRST ONE TO TRY! HAR! I feel special. I never get that. :) She also sent me samples of her It Came From The 90s collection!! Which is FREAKIN' awesome of her!!

This collection has a special place in my heart...because I love the 90s. :) And I loooove grunge. I always described myself as a "gothy grundge".

The colors are sooo pretty. I love how "No Rain" is purple, simply because in Mortal Kombat, the character Rain was purple. :) HAHA! Love Mortal Kombat.

I think Linger, on a black base, would be absolutely amazing.

And if I remember correctly, if you buy the entire collection you get a base for free? I forgot. I hope she still has that in 2 weeks when I get paid again. HINTHINT. ;)

Anyway! Onto the lippies!! Excuse my hair, no makeup...I literally woke up, washed my face, and then came to do these swatches. I didn't even brush my hair. Oops.

Well hello friends. :)

First of all, I wanted to thank all of you for being such a great support! I had a TON of anxiety going into this..and before each day I went into work. Today was my first day on the register, and it wasn't too bad! It made time go by a lot faster! I'm still a little slow, but it was my first day. :) AHHHH! I'm hangin' in there. The girls I work with are soooo nice, and extremely helpful! It makes it really great.

Hey everyone. I know I've been a little off on my weekly topics, but AHHH. Thursday is going to be my last day of training. When I'm done, I'm going to be on the register. Nail Marbling

So, most of you probably know this, but I hardly ever polish my nails. Well I was catching up on blogs, and Jonna did a blog entry about nail marbling. She had a link to a tutorial, and I thought it'd be fun to try. Especially if I started doing it for work! Maybe I'd sell more nail polish that way. ;)

The first time I tried it, it was sooo horrible. But when I have my mind set on something, I just can't give up until I get it, lol. So for about an hour, I was sitting in front of the computer looking at more tutorials, and trying different things. I finally got it after a million tries.

I don't even have base coat, top coat, OR nail polish remover. It's just about impossible (well, for me) to not get nail polish 1/3 up my finger. After my nail polish dried I had to stand at the sink for like 20 minutes with hot water trying to get that extra nail polish off of my fingers lol!

Both of my thumbnails were messed up. I don't think I used enough blue on this one, and on the other one I used too much and then accidently put my finger in it..HAH.

My right hand was sooo difficult! I couldn't even get my entire nail covered on each of my nails! Haha. But the designs are prettier?

It was seriously an adventure.

I used Wet 'n' Wild Denim Chrome, and Pure Ice Creme Siren.

Ahhh nail polish. :) I don't know if I'll do this again...I should! With more cool colors! I just have to buy nail polish..and base coat..and top coat...and nail polish remover. :)

REBEL Wednesday Update

Friday Review - Small, bunched up reviews!

Styli-Style 24-Hour Power Line & Seal Twist

Really 24 hour power?

I had to try this pencil after I saw someone mention it. I have mine in Emerald.

So what is it? A waterproof eyeliner. :) That's all I know, lol. There's no description on the site.

Where can you get it? Walgreens, CVS, any drugstore, or their website.

How much is it? On their website it's $6.49, before shipping. I think the average price would be between $6-$8. Depending on where you purchase it.

I bought mine at CVS, so I didn't have to deal with the site or customer service.

Color Breakdown:

The only one I have is Emerald. I've been wanting to buy more to try but haven't had the muhnees. It comes in about 11 colors.

The color is so, so pretty. I really love it. The first time I swatched it I remember thinking "OMG, GORGEOUS". I don't have any green eyeliners to compare it to. It's more green in real life, but definitely metallic-y, with some pretty gold shimmer. I really love the color.

Texture and Staying-Power

The texture is very smooth, and creamy. As for the staying power..ya know what? It's actually really awesome. I have oily lids, and wearing pencil liner is not really an option for me. It transfers to the top of my lid, and disappears, or looks like I tried to do a weird cut crease. I've been wearing the liner every time I do my makeup for the past two weeks, and let me tell you...it lasted through the tears of my pre-second interview jitters. I lined my eyes with it yesterday for work, and the top lid stayed perfectly. No transfer. If you swatch it, let it dry, and then try to smudge it, it won't budge. :) However, the bad thing about it is, it won't stay on the waterline too long (definitely not on mine, I have really watery eyes), but nothing is really supposed to stay there, right? The other bad thing, is that on the bottom lashline, on me at least, it smudges horribly if you don't set it with some kind of powder. All in all, not too shabby!

Pros:
Nice texture
Decent price
If you let it dry, it doesn't need to be set with powder
Lasts (on top lid, at least)
Twist up, no pencil shavings!

Cons:
Not the best for waterline/lower lashline

That's really the only con I've noticed.

Would I buy it again? Sure! I'd love to try more colors! :D I usually stay away from pencil liners, but this one is nice. :D

So quickly, I wanted to mention something. I ordered beads on Etsy from dinofleur. As you can see, I bought them on June 3rd. They didn't get shipped out until June 16th, and they arrived..I dunno..Monday or something? Maybe Saturday. Either way...2 weeks to send out beads? There was no notification that she was behind, or there'd be a delay..or..anything. That just makes me sad. I never contacted her and asked, so I can't complain too much..but really, I shouldn't have to. Right? It doesn't matter. I left her positive feedback anyway, because that's my way of avoiding confrontion, lol. Seriously, though. 2 weeks? To mail beads? Just ugh. Maybe I shouldn't have left feedback at all, but then she wouldn't have left me feedback, and I kind of like feedback. Kthx. :) Whatever. Just, if you order from there, expect a delay, even though there doesn't seem to be any reason for one.

The description of Lip Candy:

Lip Candies are a special type of lip colour,that is inbetween a lipstick and a gloss. Lip Candies are chock full of pigment and highly moisturizing. Each colour is opaque so you are able to layer the colour on as light or as sheer as you'd like.

My first thoughts? DEFINITELY between a lipstick and a lip gloss! It's not waxy like a lipstick, but still pigmented and opaque. It's not sticky, or goopy (gah, whats the word I'm looking for?) like a lip gloss. It's more of a cream. Think, cream blush/eyeshadow.

And one last thing! I got these for free at work. We just got the new ColorCare collection from Silk Elements, and we get one to try. :) And I got a Color Brilliance hair color, but it's only clear. Like a shine. :)

I'ma let everyone know that I'm going to be so behind this week. My challenge for this week is GETTING THROUGH THE WEEK. Seriously.

I worked Monday, which went ok. Just training, and I get so anxious. Jobs + Me = D: But I need this job. I need, need this. I got my first job when I was 15 and was basically traumatized, and it's made me really anxious. I just need to give myself time to adjust, and not freak out before I get the hang of everything.

After work on Monday, my sister and I left to visit family that live a few hours away. We got into town around 2 am. Woke up early, did some visiting and came back home this afternoon. I'm so exhausted already and I haven't even done much.

Tomorrow I have to get up early and wash clothes, then go to Austin to do my friend's hair. I work on Thursday. Going back to visit family on Friday, coming back Friday, then working on Saturday.

I think I just get exhausted thinking about it because I know I'll be tired, and get behind on blogs.

Also, I have a busy July! I have 2 photoshoots, my birthday (om nom!), a "surprise" birthday celebration with my friends, and then a trip to El Paso (a yummy 8 hour drive in the desert)...in between that, I have work, and work, and more work.

It's pretty fun to have 3ish part-timeish jobs, though. Even though I don't get paid much for 2 of them (the ones I love to do most).

Anyway, yes. So I apologize in advance for my absence. I have to figure out how to work out my schedules, and not be hella exhausted all the time.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today, so far, has been great/stinky! :D

I woke up to find that I made my first sale on Etsy!! Thank you ma'am!! <3 I'm insane, and I wake up early in the morning and check my email. I was so excited that I didn't get back to sleep for a while. :D But then I got too sleepy, and went back to sleep. Haha.

Then later we went to Hobby Lobby. Oh, my, gosh. We got in my car and it STUNK. So bad. I was like "what the heck is that smell??" We thought it'd go away if we aired out the car a bit..but..wow. It didn't. So..stinky. I already get car sick, so that didn't help at all. Anyway, we went into Hobby Lobby and we cracked the windows a bit. When we came out of the store, I got by the car and I could smell it coming out of the windows. Omgosh! It was THAT bad. So we were leaving and I just couldn't take the smell. I kept smelling my hand because it smelled like a yummy OHWTO soap. Then I told my dad to go to a car wash. We cleaned out the car, and there was nothing in there causing that stinky smell. My dad popped the trunk and we were looking in there..and then..I found a grocery bag. I opened it just a bit, and went "OMG THIS. EW, EW." So I gave it to my dad, and he looked at it was FISH. We went to the grocery store on Thursday, and forgot to get the fish from the trunk!! It'd been in there since then...in the hot, hot trunk. Talk about disgusting! Just thinking about it is getting me sick. Gross, gross. Isn't that so ewwy??

Oh man. MOVING ON!!

So, I had to go to Hobby Lobby to pick up some more supplies, and everything I needed was 50% off!!

I got more chains, things for earrings, necklaces, and some hair stuff! I also got an organizer which was 30% off, then styrofoam, and stickers which were regular price. :) I saved $12! EXCITING!! After this post, I'm gonna go make more things, so I can post stuff today. Cause I sure didn't post anything yesterday. Oops.

So, I came home..annnd..I got a call. It was the manager at Sally's. I was so nervous to hear what she had to say. Seriously. It turns out that the district manager liked me! BUT..she had some concerns (people always have concerns about me, I guess?). She had asked me if there was anything that I'd consider leaving Sally's for, and I aswered honestly. I told her that if I got a job working in the cosmetic field, for a cosmetic company or what have you, then that'd be something that I'd consider leaving for. She appreciated my honestly, but said that it worried her that if I did, I'd be like "PEACE!" and be out the door. I think, though, that she understood, because makeup is what I do. I'm a makeup artist, and I told her that. However, because of that, they're going to put me on as "temporary"...kind of. I'll have like a 3 month probation period. Which is fine with me. Also, I have to hide my septum piercing..but that's nothing. :) Other jobs would have made me change my hair, and take all of my piercings out.

Omg, funny thing, though!! I have two friends that work at the Sally's in the next town over...and one of them called the manager and told her to hire me! LMAO. Holy crap!! She's awesome. :) Although, now I feel like they expect a whole hell of a lot out of me..lol! Which is fine, it'll push me to work even harder.

So I did it!! I got the joooob!! Ahhh!! I start MONDAY! Thanks again for your support everyone!! It helped sooooo much! <3

Lovely gold! Really, it matches my skin too much, lol. Since, ya know, I'm so amazing that I ooze gold. It'd be amazing over a lipgloss, though! On me, at least. :)

I can't explain my first impressions. My nose is overwhelmed right now by all the smells, lol. So much, in fact, that I'm getting a headache. Which is my fault for being too crazy and opening up these things all at once.

Friday Review - Sugarpill

First, let me start off by thanking everyone that responded to my last post (and on Twitter). I read all the comments before leaving for my interview this morning and they made me feel soooo much better! I ended up crying before I got into the car, while I was in the car, and while I was in the parking lot getting myself ready to go in. Almost cried during the interview, geez. The interview was about 15 minutes and at the Starbucks next door. I feel like I did my best, I was myself. I wasn't IN-YO-FACE outgoing, but I was confident and spoke clearly. Didn't stumble too much..soo..I really don't know how I did..but I'll find out in the next few days. I'm soooo glad it was moved to 9:30 this morning, instead of 2. I'd still be waiting! FREAKING OUT!! Thanks again, everyone. I appreciate it. <333

Is Sugarpill really for the dangerously pretty?

I first heard about Sugarpill last August. Amy and I are both part of a community on livejournal, and when she announced that she was secretly working on a makeup line for the past four years, and would launch soon I was super excited! So excited, in fact, that I was the first one to comment and be creepy about it! I checked! She said she was going to launch it in October *ahem*, so I had been anxiously, but patiently, waiting for February when she actually DID launch Sugarpill! That's alright, I ain't mad atcha. Unfortunately for me, that was during the time I gave up buying makeup! D:

Well, a couple of months ago, I guess about a month after the launch, I ordered from Sugarpill. Twice. So here's my fun story and my review and swatches and other cool things. DO YOU LOVE IT ALREADY?

Yeah. You should.

So I told myself I wasn't going to buy the MAKEUP until later. I placed my first order and I got the Dewdrop Kisses lashes and a few stickers. The packaged arrive quickly and it was packaged beautifully. The eyelashes went straight into my kit, and I'm going to use them for something absolutely amazing. ;)

So time went on and I kept seeing these amazing freakin' reviews, and looks, and I was like "DAMMIT". So I decided to just buy some eyeshadows. All of the pressed eyeshadows, in fact.

So what is it? According to the Sugarpill site it's "Bold high-performance cosmetics for the dangerously pretty."

Where can you get it? Sugarpill.net, or if you happen to see Amy dancing at a club handing out free Sugarpill. ;)

How much is it? $12 an eyeshadow (pressed and loose), and $34 for a 4-pan palette.

-Site Design, Ordering, Price

I love the site. It's easy to navigate, professional, but still has personality. It has links to reviews and tutorials, like some indie companies have. I think it's nice, because it's still very personal, without being creepy. Also, plus a million points for NO MUSIC. Y'all know how I hate music on sites. Especially ones that are trying to sell makeup *ahem*. I won't mention any names. ;)

Ordering is nice and pleasant. You click on the item, it takes you to a page where it shows the product, swatch (some have eye swatches), description, collection, weight, ingredients, price, and if it's Vegan. It then has a cute button that made me giggle when I first saw it. It says "Mine! Add to Cart". So you clicky on that, and it adds it to your cart. It also tells you how many items you have in your cart, and the total in the top right hand corner. Ordering is so, so easy.

Now..the price. The price is seriously reasonable. I read a comment on a youtube where someone said "$12 for an eyeshadow from a new company with no reputation? Seems like way too much." Or some bullshit. Obviously, they don't know anything about makeup..for 1, and 2, they obviously don't know of Shrinkle. Which is fine, not everyone does. But if you're going to comment on MAKEUP, know something about it. Which seems a little difficult for some people. That's fine, though. Sugarpill is doing fine, and the prices are perfect.

- Customer Service/Shipping

I just had to buy the palettes. I needed them in my life. I was a little tired of dealing with loose eyeshadow, so I absolutely love that she came out with both. I told Amy I only wanted to get one palette but had to get all 3. Then she said I didn't have to because one of the palettes were just repeats of others! I didn't even notice that! Apparently, I’m the only one. The one that's a repeat was the one I had my eyes on because it's the darker palette. So I totally overlooked that they were repeats. SO, my wallet thanks her (and kind of curses her at the same time..haha). But she looked out for me, the costumer, and wasn't looking out for herself. She could have told me "get them!", instead she saved ME money. THAT is the kind of awesomeness that keeps you going back. So, I purchased Bulletproof, Burning Heart, and Sweetheart palettes. Shipping is a flat $5. Free shipping over $75. :) And THANK YOU, for knowing that the $ comes BEFORE the number, and not AFTER.

I waited for my package. And waited. And waited a little more. Then I thought, 'well, what the heck, it didn't take this long last time?' So I asked Amy (just by tweeting her, she answers!) and asked how long packages usually take, and mine didn't take this long last time. She tweeted me back and told me she'd email me the tracking number. So she did just that and when we checked the number there was nothing going on, nothing had updated. So she told me that if it didn't arrive by the end of the week, she'd send me a new one. So we waited and waited some more and finally, one day...LIFE! It had been sitting in the post office for 2 weeks before THEY shipped it! So it might have taken me a while to get it but it was 100% NOT Amy's fault, and she was amazing through the entire thing.

I opened the box and was just so thrilled. Once again, everything was packed amazingly. Everything was beautifully wrapped in pink tissue paper. And as most everyone knows, it comes with a Shrinkle business card, a Sugarpill card, a Sugarpill sticker, an autographed invoice by Amy herself ;), and of course, your purchase.

So her customer service and shipping? She's got it down. And she should, she's been selling for years!

Also, can I just add that she takes care of customer service, shipping packages and promotional stuff herself? She didn't just put her name on a product and have other people deal with it. She might not be making all the colors by hand, but she makes sure what she's putting out isn't crap. Very hands-on, and that's awesome.
- Packaging

I'm not really going to discuss packaging much because everyone has. To be honest, I personally don't really care about how pretty packaging is for products. I always appreciate well thought-out packaging, yes, but unlike some people I don't buy a product BECAUSE of the packaging. I'm all about the quality of the product. Unless, the packaging is horrible and it effects the product. The biggest complaint from everyone is no names on the quads. Well, she fixed that so moving on.

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I opened up the palettes, but when I lifted the lid the first thing that crossed my mind was 'HOLY DAMN THEY'RE HUGE!' Seriously. Huge. I don't even know what to compare them to.

- Colors

I didn't take pictures BEFORE I used my palettes, so I just got all of these from the Sugarpill site. Hope it's ok!

- Textures and Blendability

(Top over UDPP, bottom no primer)

Right now, the pressed eyeshadows have two different textures. One is matte and the other is described as "semi-pearly sheen" or "slightly pearl sheen". The mattes are, of course, matte, and include Bulletproof, Dollipop, Tako, Flamepoint, and Buttercupcake. The pearly-sheen colors include Afterparty, Midori, Love+ and Poison Plum. These colors are only a tiny bit sparkly, and are just so smooth. All of the colors blend amazingly well, IF you blend mattes with mattes and sheens with sheens. Simply because mattes are difficult to blend with anything other than mattes. That's just how it is with all brands. If you want to blend mattes with sheens you just need to put a little bit more effort into it. ;) They really do blend beautifully, though. And another fun fact: I just tried to smear these colors and they didn't budge.

- Color breakdowns

Bulletproof

I cannot tell you how long I've been looking to find a replacement for MAC's Carbon. I'm always in search of an amazing black eyeshadow. Just because I'm so gawth, and I need it. This color is amazing. The blackest black, and highly pigmented. A little bit goes a LONG way. I really like Carbon, but sometimes I felt like I had to load up my brush just to get it really black. When I compared Bulletproof to Carbon I noticed that Carbon is a softer black, and Bulletproof is just black. I barely swiped it, started using it and yikes! A little goes a loooong way! Sugarpill is darker, bigger and cheaper than MAC. Hello! No brainer.

Dollipop

I love this pink! I use it a lot, a lot. Sometimes I just can't stop myself. I don't even know what to say about this color. It's like a hot, hot, baby pink. And beautifully matte. It doesn’t take any effort because it’s so smooth, and amazing. I feel like I'm not making any sense, but it’s great.

Afterparty

I love to wear this color. I put Dollipop on other people too much, and I put this color on myself too much. I just love it. I'm a sucker for blues, though. There's something weird about it, though. When I look at it, I'm not really that drawn to it. Then every time I use it, I'm like "OMG SOOOOO PRETTY". It’s as if I have memory loss after each time I wear it. It's like my best kept secret from myself. It’s GORGEOUS over a black base. Seriously, such a beautiful color.

Midori

Gorgeous green! I don't usually wear greens, but I find myself reaching for this one a lot. I don't even know how to add to this. It's just amazing. A color that speaks for itself, I think. I’ve, personally, never seen a green like this before.

Tako

Tako is a matte white color. I'm not really sure what to say, or really, how to explain what I'm thinking. I think a matte white, for anyone, might be a difficult color to perfect, because it's white. White is annoying. So with that in mind, I'm just not sure how I feel about Tako. Without a doubt it's white. It's actually pretty well pigmented, on it's own and with a primer, but it still tends to be a little chalky. Just a little, though, not as much as some others. I'm looking at the (many) white swatches on my hand now and it settled into the lines of my skin..which none of the other (Sugarpill) colors did. I'm not really sure how the chemistry of white works with makeup. I probably should care/know, but I don't. I think with any matte, white eyeshadow we just need to get used to using a white cream base, and then using that white eyeshadow. So, from all that babbling, it's just a bit chalky and not as pigmented as the rest from the line, but still better than any white I‘ve tried. I use it to lighten colors, and to blend it up to my highlight, or sometimes lightly as a highlight.

Buttercupcake

Nice, bright, matte yellow. A good yellow is really difficult to find. This one is seriously awesome. Because of the color of my skin, it’s a little difficult to work with this color on myself. Only a little bit. I’ve used it on models, though and it was great on them. Waaaay better than a certain chr-*ahem* yellow I had once. And it’s definitely yeeellllOH.

Poison Plum

I love this purple. It’s such a pretty, deep, gorgeous purple. I think it’d make an amazing smokey eye. I remember her saying she wanted to make it close to #92 from MUFE. I don’t have that color to compare it to, but I’ve seen swatches of them side-by-side. I think she got pretty close, but still made it her own. Just look at the swatch! Gawjus.

Flamepoint

Holy flippin' makeup deity. This is the BEST orange eyeshadow EVER. Seriously. I was incredibly impressed with it. I wasn't expecting much, because like yellow, and white, and red, a good orange eyeshadow is so, so difficult to find. This orange is just so extremely pigmented and wonderful and just amazing. Amazing, amazing orange. I can't even express how much I LOVE this damn orange. The first time I used it I was so pleasantly surprised. Freakin' YES.

Love+

Ahhh, love. I think Love+ is such an excellent name for this color. It’s red, but not a red-red. It kind of perfectly matches my hair, except my hair looks a little pinker next to it. I think to get a red-red, I’d have to get the Asylum ChromaLust. I really love this color, though. And it really does make you think about love, because if you just have a red-red..that gets a little close to anger, no? So a nice, deep, pinkishy, red is definitely Love, plus.

Final Bits

Everytime I open the palette people go “oooooooooooo!!”. :D

I had asked a long time ago if those big palettes would be available, but it was a no, that they were really only for the show. Maybe that'll change in the future because everyone wants one! I also asked if there was going tobe a Pro discount available and she said she's working on it. Wonderful! <3 I hope it comes with a card! I mean, not that we would really use it since Sugarpill is only online but...it'd still be awesome!

So, back to the original question. Is Sugarpill really for the "dangerously pretty"? Well, when I wear Sugarpill and drive, I become one of those people that stare at themselves in the rearview mirror just to look at my pretty eyeshadow. So, while I'm not proud of that, it does make me pretty dangerous! And my eyes look so pretty wearing it, sooo...I'd say yes!

So, would I buy from Sugarpill again? Nah.. Jaykay. Yes!

Believe the hype, and watch out for new stuff in the line! It had a great launch, so hopefully it'll keep getting better, and better, and not get worse like some companies. I think everyone expects a lot from Sugarpill now. .....No pressure. :)

Yesterday I went to Sally (Beauty Supply) to get bobby pins, and the manager was there. She knows me because I'm always in there, and because I've applied there before (but they ended up not needing anyone). She asked if I had a job and I said no, and she said she was hiring part time! So she gave me an application and I went home and filled it out, went back and turned in my application about an hour later. She said she'd call me about an interview on Thursday...ahhh, I'm hoping she does!! I could really use a job.

Tricky Monday - Eyeliner

Happy Monday everyone! I have a quick eyeliner tip for you. I use an angled brush for my eyeliner, and eyebrows. I've had problems in the past with making the line too thick. Maybe you have, too. This makes it a lot easier, though. The line comes out thinner, and cleaner. It makes it easier to build it up to make the liner thicker. :) Here's what I do..

So, just dipping it into the eyeliner and swatching it, it's a pretty thick messy line.

I press one side onto something (usually the back of my hand or a napkin/makeup remover wipe).

Then I do the other side. Sometimes I get too much on my brush, because I get a little liner happy, so there's tone left over.

Then swatched again. The top swatch is after I've cleaned the sides. Nice clean line.

It comes in handy. I do it all the time, especially at photoshoots. I always see models looking like "what is she doing??" Haaah. :)

Sunday Challenge

My challenge? Wear false eyelashes at least twice this week! I finally got more contacts, so I have nooo excuse anymore. I haven't worn them in a long time. It doesn't sound difficult, but it probably will be. Especially since every now and then I forget to put on mascara.

So...we'll see!

Some quick words before I go on with my post. I'm extending my contest by a month. Although I'd really like to extend it until August...hmm. So I will. It'll give me more time for awesome prizes (I have an extremely awesome, hella sneaky prize up my sleeve). I have an awesome friend providing some beautiful earrings for it! YAY!! Although, in retrospect I should have waited, but waiting is boring! Alright, so I'll extend it until August 13th. Hopefully it'll work out. Thanks to my recent entries (and inquiries). Love you! <3

Ooooo, ok, soooo I've been working on organizing my blog a little bit because it feels just...all over the place to me. I feel like I need some kind of structure, especially sinceI don't just do looks everyday. And there is, in nooo way, anything wrong with that! I just don't wear makeup everyday, haha. Even when I used to wear makeup everyday (for school) I never took pictures. It's just how I am...lazy, or always running late.

Here's the breakdown of the week...

Sunday Challege - On Sunday I'm going to give myself a weekly challenge. There comes a time when you just get too comfortable in what you're doing. You do the same thing over and over. I'm going to give myself a personal challenge that I'll fulfil by the end of the week. Will it always be makeup related? Probably not, but most of the time, yes. :)

Tricky Monday - I really wanted to make this "Mannequin Monday"! But, I let someone borrow mine a while back and haven't gotten it back. D: I'll still have hair on Mondays but it'll also be tips/tricks/etc. I'm going to try my damndest to make this awesoooome.

Two-Faced Tuesdays - I've been really crafty lately, so Tuesdays will be reserved for my crafts, instead of makeup. It's like I'm cheating!

Rebel Wednesday - I'm not much into commercial things. I'm going to make Wednesday a day for rebel creations. It'll be filled with people thinking outside "outside the box". I'm gonna try to keep it beauty related but..ya never know. ;)

Looky Loo Thursday - A day reserved for..OFDs (of the day)! Whether it be hair or makeup. :) I'll probably still post looks as I do them, but for the most part Thursdays will be for looks. :D

Friday Review - I haven't done too many reviews. Maybe 2 or 3? I'm a bit weird about them, but I'm going to try to start doing more. I have a huge one typed up for this Friday. :)

Saturday is my free day. :D

Obviously I'm not going to post every single day because sometimes I just won't be able to. I'll post about other thinsg, I'm sure, but now I have topics. For the most part if I have something to post, I'll wait until the day. Ya feel me? :)

Sooo, I'm going to be pretty busy in the weeks coming up. I have some photoshoots and I need to get working on this "secret" venture. Not really secret, but sneaky? Not even that.

ANYWAY, I will still be around, just not updating quite as often. After I finish buying the rest of the prizes for the contest I won't be buying makeup for myself again.

While I'm "away" I'm going to be working on things for my blog, new ideas, ways to make it more interesting and not so damn boring. I'm also going to be trying to..become a better artist. I really do feel like my skills are lacking immensely.

Also, my birthday is in July and I really want to save up some money to do something fun! We'll see.

Anyway...ok, ok. I'll still be around but I'm really going to try to work on things! Fabulous, fabulous things. And omg, I PROMISE I'm working on better prizes!

I can definitely feel my inspiration drying up. To be honest, I feel really awful when I'm not inspired. So I always try to, at least once a month, go into my inspiration folder and flip through the images. Do you have an inspiration folder? You should. :) I like to browse Model Mayhem a lot. Especially since on MM people have things called "lists" where you can basically "favorite" things you love, and voila! You have your own inspirational folder on MM, and others can look at them, too! Ohh, and also, just looking at people's blogs, if I see a look I really like I'll save it. I'm going to share some pictures I have hidden away in my inspiration folder. Some of my own favorites from Model Mayhem.

I love to look at this picture. Everything about it is so amazing. From the outfit, to the perfect hair, to the even more perfect makeup. It's flawless. Here is the original.

This one I really just have for the eyeshadow. I like how the rainbow goes from the outer crease, inward and back out. Lovely. The original.

I've always wanted to do a shoot similar to this. I think I just stare at it in envy. :) Original.

This is just brilliant. I love the choker. The makeup is simple but..damn, it gets an insane point across, I think. Here's the original.

New Layout..ooo.

So I just did a new layout. I don't know if I like it yet. I really liked the old one, with the pretty colors and things going on, but I'm over it. Also, it wasn't very makeup-y. Oh, and I really wanted 3 columns because I wanted to add a blogroll.

It's just annoying because of the comments thing. But when does blogspot and ID not have weird comment problems?

Yeah.

I'm sleepy. Maybe I'll like it in the morning. :)

Snap! I haven't gotten any entries yet. D: I know at least one person has done the mask for her entry. Anyway, that's fine, lol. That's not what this update is about, haha.

I just wanted to mention that I've gotten a few more prizes BUT I'll wait to add those once I've finished completely.

Also, I'm going to need to extend the contest because I have a weekend long photoshoot then, so I'll probably give it another week and have it end on June 18th. I'm almost sure I have nothing going on that weekend...yet. :)

I haven't been wearing makeup lately. A lot has to do with not having a good foundation. I need to get on that. I'm on a search for a deep, dark (but still vibrant) blue eyeshadow. I feel like I'm asking for too much, though. I thought I had a picture of what I was looking for...so I KNOW it exists...but I wasn't awesome enough to save the damn picture! D: I've used 1.22 Gigawatts (Fyrinnae) on top of a black base and it worked pretty nicely, though.

Oooo..and I'm going to the eye doctor (lol..optometrist) on Saturday! Which means new contacts (finally) and new glasses! Hooray!

Yay, last night we had a party for our fancy friends that are graduating from college, all fancy!

We had bought some glow sticks, so I made hairclips with some glow-in-the-dark stars!

It was a lot of fun, but I didn't get home until 2:30 this morning..and I had to wake up at 6..a few hours later because I had to work today!

I was so tired but still super fun!!

Oh, and that red lipstick? You can win that in my contest! ;)

On Chloe I used Fyrinnae's Shrouded in Gold. I looove this eyeshadow, and I'm sad it's gone. I also used Wet n Wild's Mega Eyes Cream Liner. :)

On Courtney, as a base I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, Sugarpill Tako, Afterparty and Midori. I also did her hair.

On Courtni I used Prestige Pop Star and Black for the checkers and Sugarpill Bulletproof in the crease (even though you can't really see it. Also, Sugarpill Dollipop on cheeks (and eyebrows) and OCC Lip Tar in NSFW.

Susan already had makeup on, I only did her second look. So I darked up her eyes with a gray and then a silver pigment. On her lips I used OCC Tarred with more silver pigment in the center.

On Kayla I used Sugarpill Bulletproof, Poison Plum and Dollipop with a mix of OCC Lip Tars on her lips to make a pink color.

For her second look I added Tako to inner parts of her eyes and brought out Poison Plum and Dollipop. I also added a purple (more mixed OCC) lining her lips. I also did her hair.

For Rory's first look I used Sugarpill Bulletproof and Dollipop, blending it out with Tako. On her lips is a pink lipstick I mixed using OCC.

For her second look I mixed Ben Nye's Clown white and blended it down. I brought Sugarpill's Dollipop out and blended it with Tako. I also added Poison Plum in the crease. I also did her hair.

For Morgan I used Sugarpill's Poison Plum, Tako and Bulletproof. I also added some fake lashes, but only to the outer corners of her eyes.

For her second look I added Sugarpill's Love+ and an orangy lipstick (forgot which). That's a real snake and tarantula, by the way. :)

For Marianna (she's so adorable...and Russian!) I used Wet n Wild's Mega Eyes Cream Liner as a base around her eyes and then used Sugarpill Bulletproof to set it. Then I used Sugarpill's Buttercupcake all around to make a yellow smokey eye. On her lips is a light pink lipstick with a Victoria Secret gloss over it.

For her second look, I added Sugarpill's Flamepoint, Love+, Dollipop and Tako around her eyes and down her cheeks. On her lips is OCC Lip Tar in NSFW with a mixed Lip Tar in a bright pink in the center of her lips. I also did her hair.

I used Sugarpill (and OCC) on mostly all the looks because I'm testing them out. It was the perfect opportunity. I'm still trying to get the hang of these damn lip tars.
